Andrzej dealt with the taxonomy and systematics of plant bugs subfamily Cylapinae. He devoted almost his entire scientific work to this poorly known group of bugs with a tropical distribution, becoming a world expert in its diversity. Andrzej described more than 100 species of cylapines new to science.

He had a great passion for science and was an excellent entomologist as well as a valued teacher. Andrzej was a good friend, kind, and helpful to those around him. It will remain so in our memory.
