The first records of the Nearctic assassin bug species Zelus renardii Kolenati, 1857 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Reduviidae: Harpactorinae: Harpactorini) for Serbia are reported. The spread of the species in the Mediterranean Region is summarised and discussed.
