The first record of Halobates micans Eschscholtz, 1822 on the island of El Hierro is reported. This is the first record of the genus Halobates Eschscholtz, 1822 in the Canary archipelago. The first record of Aradus canariensis Kormilev, 1954 on the island of La Palma is reported.
