We are sorry to report the passing of Diego L. Carpintero on March 26, 2025.

Diego worked in the Entomology Division of the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He obtained his Degree in Natural Sciences last year, and had begun his Ph.D program. He was a tireless and enthusiastic entomologist who dedicated himself from an early age to the study of Hemiptera. He produced a large body of work, primarily on the diversity of the family Miridae, but also on other families, such as Acanthosomatidae, Anthocoridae, Berytidae, Cimicidae, Coreidae, Pentatomidae, Plokiophilidae, Reduviidae, Schizopteridae, Thaumastocoridae, and Tingidae.
