The new genus Saicireta is described to indude S. correntina sp. n. frorn Corrientes, Argentina. Head, pronaturn, scutellurn, forewing, rnale and fernale genitalia are i!lustratesl. Its relationship to other neotropical Saicinae genera is discussed. A key to the Neotropical genera is presented
